The Vertigen family continues to expand around the world. Here are some of the athletes who have chosen our brand.
Aethers – French National 4-Way Formation Skydiving Team
Formed in 2022, Aethers is the youngest and most promising team on the international 4-way formation skydiving circuit. With Alban Rumolo, Mathieu Quizy, Damien Gouriou, and Tom Mattoni, we bring together youthful energy and strong individual experience. Our values like discipline, commitment, and perseverance fuel our pursuit of excellence.
We’ve recently welcomed Cameron Malié as our dedicated videoman. A young skydiver with a rich background in competition, he brings sharp vision and dynamic energy to our team.
After becoming indoor world champions, our mission is clear: bring the outdoor world title back to France , a sword that has been out of reach since 2010.
Hayabusa, founded in 2002 (named after the Japanese term for peregrine falcon, the fastest flying animal), began as an amateur skydiving team supported by Skydive Spa. The original lineup included brothers David and Andy Grauwels, Roy Janssen, Sven Ibens, and Bruno Van Den Eede on video. In 2004, they competed in their first FAI World Meet, finishing 6th. In 2007, the Belgian army offered them the chance to become the national military team. Sven and Bruno declined, and Luc Verstrepen joined, with Danny Jacobs taking the video role.
Hayabusa won the military championships and continued to dominate subsequent events. In 2009, So Waedong joined for two years, replaced by Dennis Praet in late 2010. The lineup of David, Andy, Roy, Dennis, and Danny on video pursued the world championship title. After narrowly missing it in Dubai in 2012, Hayabusa claimed the title in 2014, engraving Belgium on the Excalibur trophy.
Following the victory, Roy Janssen left, and Jeroen Nollet joined. This core team—David, Andy, Dennis, and Jeroen—won world championships in 2016 (USA) and 2018 (Australia), initially with Danny on video, then Luc Van Britsom in 2018. In 2019, Hayabusa achieved a record-breaking indoor score of 35.4 at the Wind Games in Empuriabrava, using Vertigen Rok suits. Later that year, at the US Nationals as a guest team, they set another record with a 28.9 average, the highest ever.
In 2020, David retired from 4-way flying to take the video role, and Michele Silvi joined. The team won another world championship in 2021 (Russia). That year, Andy retired, and Neal Willems joined. In 2023, Michele Silvi was succeeded by Ray Lodens.
Now, with the experience of David, Jeroen, and Dennis, combined with the energy of Neal and Ray, Hayabusa trains rigorously indoors and outdoors, poised for future success.
We are a 4-way FS (Formation Skydiving) indoor team representing the next generation of
flyers from the Czech Republic. Most of us began flying as early as the age of 8, giving us a
unique advantage and deep foundation in the sport.
Over the years, we have proudly represented the Czech Republic at both national and
international levels. Our achievements include three consecutive victories at the Czech
Indoor Skydiving Championships and two titles at the Polish Open. In 2025, we competed at
the Indoor World Championship in Raeford, earning an impressive 4th place finish against
world-class teams such as Hayabusa and Arizona Airspeed.
With a strong dedication to training and innovation, the Skywalkers Juniors have quickly
become recognized as one of Europe’s most promising junior lineups. Our partnership with
Vertigen Suits reflects our shared commitment to precision, performance, and style inside
the tunnel.

Started as a competitive gymnast in the Bavarian state team.
Switched to indoor skydiving after 2020 – flying solo freestyle since 2021.
Born on January 21, 2011
Julia Schweizer entered competitive sports at the age of five as a gymnast in the Bavarian Gymnastics Federation. She soon advanced to the Bavarian state team and remained dedicated to gymnastics until 2020. She first experienced bodyflying in the wind tunnel at age six, but it wasn’t until after the COVID-19 break that she fully transitioned into indoor skydiving. Since 2021, she has been training professionally and quickly began making a name for herself in the Junior Freestyle category.
Yohann ABY commenced his skydiving career at 18 years old, when he was recruited into the junior French team just 6 months after completing his accelerated free fall course (AFF) and a total of 35 jumps.
Prior to this, he followed an intense training regime at a high level gymnastics centre, which he left his family home to attend and was enrolled in for 8 years from the age of 10. He discovered freestyle skydiving by coincidence and was immediately drawn to the opportunity to apply his gymnastic skill in an alternative and creative way.
For more than 20 years, Yohann Aby competed in Freestyle and Freefly on the world stage. He retired from competition after the World championship in 2022 and established the Excellence Academy at Skydive Empuriabrava for those looking to train at the highest level with his close friends Andy Grauwels (ex-hayabusa and formation specialist) and Dani Roman (Redbull athlete and wingsuit specialist).

Echochamber, the team with a “non-quitting policy”, will celebrate ten years together in 2025.
We started out with indoor training and competitions, but the love for jumping out of airplanes soon drew us back into the open air. As a fully self-funded team — although we are fortunate to have sponsors for gear and receive great deals on tunnel time and jump tickets — we constantly balance our passion with our personal lives.
We all have full-time jobs, children of various ages, and during the early years of parenthood, time, energy, and money are naturally pulled in that direction. As a team, we respect that reality. Our training intensity is adjusted to what the person with the least available time can manage — and then we just go for it!
We’re having a blast, and we love the fact that we’re still competitive on the international stage. Our relationship with competing is a true love–hate one: nothing beats the thrill when we perform well — and nothing stings more than when we mess up.
My name is Flavien. I started indoor skydiving in 2016 and have been an indoor skydiving instructor since 2019. It became a passion from the very first flight and i directly wanted to share it with lot of people and make them discover the pleasure of flying. I’ve competed in several events, including four French Championships and three world competitions. I placed second in my first French Championship and have since become a three-time French Champion. At the world level, I’ve placed in the top 5 three times.
Since 2022, I’ve been a partner with Vertigen ♡ who have always supported me by providing the best gear and the latest suit versions whenever I needed them. My favorite suit model for freestyle is the ZEPHYROS model.
Emilia Rölle (16 yrs), Germany
In 2023, I discovered Indoorskydiving and it only took me 2 minutes as a First Timer to fall in
love with this amazing sport. The air feels like my true element, a place where I can fully
express myself and keep pushing my limits.
Coached by Totta Sella I learned what dedication to this sport means. She has supported me
from the very beginning in realizing my dream of competing and helping to make this
extraordinary sport more widely known.
That‘s why I´m so proud to represent Germany as a member of the German National Team
ISF Junior.
In 2024 I won the 3 rd place at the German Nationals.
In 2025 I started to compete internationally at the Windgames. After winning the 1 st place at
the German Nationals I was renominated to represent Germany at my first FAI World
Championships in Belgium and finished 7 th place.
My desire is to continue to develop and improve as an athlete so that I can continue to take
part in competitions and explore the world of indoor skydiving.

Roy completed his first skydive in 1995 at the age of 16 and since then he has an inherent
love of the sky. At the age of 20 Roy qualified as a static-line instructor and at 21 he became
the youngest AFF instructor in Belgium.
But it wasn’t until 2002 when he co-founded the legendary 4-way team Hayabusa that Roy’s
dream started to become a reality. Over the next 4 years, as an amateur team, Hayabusa did
whatever they could do to train and jump together, and in 2005 they won their first
European Championship. Then in the summer of 2006 the team was invited by the Belgian
Army to join forces and become their new military skydiving team. Since turning pro in 2007,
they had what can only be described as a meteoric success in the world of 4-way Formation
Skydiving. Hayabusa has gone on to impress judges and smash many records at multiple
skydiving championships across the world.
At the end of the 2014 season, after 13 years being part of the Hayabusa family, Roy left his
beloving team to focus on new challenges. In 2015 Roy became a full-time professional
skydiving and windtunnel coach, sharing his experience, passion, enthusiasm, and
knowledge around the world.
However, his desire and need to compete remained unchanged, and in 2016 he co-founded
team High Rollers. This project consisted out of all former World champions who still wanted
to perform at the highest level possible, but without the full-time commitment as the
professional teams. What followed were 4 years of very intense and epic battles with his
former teammates Hayabusa. The skydiving world never saw so many hard-fought battles
between the same two teams for so many years in a row. This rivalry pushed the sport to
new levels, and the point-average increased as never before. After the World indoor
championship of 2019, the High Rollers project came to an end.
Roy feels extremely fortunate to have flown with, and competed against the best and most
talented flyers in the world. Being privileged to have fought the most exciting and epic
battles imaginable, having travelled around the world, making friends from every part of the
globe and sharing the same passion is an enrichment for heart and soul.
Over the years Roy won more than 100 medals and broken several indoor and outdoor
records at both civilian and military championships. Roy is a multiple European, World Cup
and military World champion, having also won the FAI Skydiving World Championship.
Today Roy has over 9000 skydives, with more than 2000 hours of windtunnel and is an
international sought FS coach. If you don’t find Roy flying in windtunnels or jumping out of
planes, he might be flying them, as he is a very passionate commercial pilot too!

A lover of adrenaline, the outdoors and heights, I started skydiving at the age of 21 and since then this sport has opened a new world full of opportunities and learning. I found in the air a way to connect with myself and with freedom. Eventually, I discovered the wind tunnel, a space that fascinated me for everything it allows me to explore: technique, control, fluidity. I have worked inside the tunnel and it has been a key stage in my personal and sporting growth. I am passionate about exploring the limits, living experiences that challenge and inspire me, and keep learning from the top.
I’ve been flying and working in tunnels now since 2008. Tunnel Instructor Examiner. British National Dynamic Champion. Vice World Dynamic Champion. Full time instructor, manager and coach at Windoor Realfly Empuriabrava. Flying is not just my job but also my passion. It’s my life and it’s a big part of who I am. It’s allowed me to travel the world, have amazing experiences and meet so many awesome people. Thanks to Vertigen I can push myself past my limits while being comfortable.
Indoor skydiving instructor since 2019 at iFLY Aix-Marseille.
I’m a member of the French national team, and I’ve been competing in freestyle since 2022, entering the international scene in 2024.
Coming from a family of breakdancers and musicians, I draw a lot of inspiration from those roots to create my flying moves and routines.
My flying or suit design motto:
“It doesn’t matter if people love or hate your style, as long as they remember it, you’ve made your mark.”
Hola! My name is Carla from Spain,
I have been skydiving since 2012. (When I was 18 years old). Very quickly I got addicted to the sport and started training 4 Way Belly with a team. They helped me alot to improve and grow as a skydiver. We competed at the Spanish nationals and end up 2nd on my first competition ever.
From this point I decided I wanted to became a AFF and TI but it was not an easy road because everyone was telling me I was small and a women so I became the youngest female tandem instructor in Spain.
When I was 21 I had a huge accident skydiving that changed my life and on my recovery one day while watching the WindGames talking to Fernando he invited me to be part of his New Project VERTIGEN.
After Working In UAE for 6 years as a AFF and TI I am currently just working on boogies and trying to have fun with this amazing sport!

Physical Education Professional, worked at UCSD Fitness Department (California), at UERJ on the Sports Course (Rio de Janeiro), since 2014 focusing on Skydiving and Wind Tunnel flying in most disciplines, but specially Freeflying, Dynamic Flying, VFS, Large Formations in the Sky and Speed Rounds in the Tunnel.
My passion for skydiving began in 1989 when I joined the Paratrooper Brigade. There, I completed the static line course and took my first steps into this exciting world. After finishing my military service in late 1990, I decided to continue my training and completed a civilian static line course with progression to manual deployment.
Since then, my journey in skydiving has been steady—initially more recreational—but today, I have accumulated around 2,000 jumps, and my passion for the sport remains as strong as ever. In 2006, I added a new discipline to my life: paramotoring, which I also practice with great enthusiasm.
Thanks to my job, I’ve been fortunate to travel across Europe, which has allowed me to discover various drop zones and share experiences with people from all over the continent. One of my favorite skydiving styles is camera flying, whether filming tandems or jumping with friends.
Over the past eight years, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with several skydiving centers and brands. I was in charge of the mobile advertising for SkydiveBCN, and currently, I proudly represent the branding of Vertigen (“Born to Fly”) as well as the promotion of SkydiveSpain. I also collaborate with the Windoor wind tunnel, which I’m happy to promote—always with a touch of humor!
I continue learning every day and feel grateful to keep meeting and flying alongside the very best.
Hi, I’m Tim Parrant, also known as Koala in the Sky.
I’ve spent over 15 years as a professional skydiver and 12 years as a BASE jumper and paraglider. My lifelong passion for extreme sports photography began with skateboarding and surfing, eventually taking me to the skies.
I travel the world in search of wild, authentic moments to capture — from the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Maldives to Bolivia’s Uyuni Salt Flats, the Amazon, Baobab Avenue in Madagascar, and my personal favorite, Angel Falls in Venezuela.
My mission is to capture unique stunts and breathtaking locations, sharing the world through my eyes and inviting others to experience the extraordinary.
I’ve had the privilege of organizing and filming Guinness World Record projects, including aerial silk performances and even picnic tables suspended beneath hot air balloons.
Along the way, I’ve earned various ratings and roles, including USPA ST&A, FAA rigger, and canopy instructor for The Alter Ego Project.
Looking ahead, my goal is simple: to keep creating unforgettable projects, pushing creative boundaries, and using the best gear to stay safe — and look good — while doing it.
